Governor Shri Lalji Tandon while reviewing Higher Education Department at Raj Bhavan today said that constant efforts are being made to make higher education quality in Madhya Pradesh. He asked the Central Government to provide desired cooperation in this work. Union Human Resource Development Minister Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, Chief Minister Mr. Kamal Nath and Higher Education Minister Mr. Jeetu Patwari attended the meeting.
Governor Shri Tandon said that amazing knowledge of all fields including Indian philosophy is contained in ancient languages. For the widespread dissemination of this knowledge, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University has been established in Madhya Pradesh in the form of an international university. He said that there is a need to give a glorious look to the university.
Centers to study educational reform efforts in Madhya Pradesh with expert committee
Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath urged the Center to provide the dues of the Seventh Finance Commission to make Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University prosperous. He urged the Central Government to set up an expert committee and study the efforts to improve the standard of education in Madhya Pradesh so that quality education system can be ensured.
Development of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University in a phased manner
Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal appreciated efforts to improve the quality of education in Madhya Pradesh. He instructed the Secretary of the University Grants Commission(UGC) to take necessary action to grant recognition of 12-B to the Hindi University. Also, coordinate with the state government and fulfill the requirements of the university within the time limit. He assured the state of the pending payment related to education under the Seventh Finance Commission and to release the pending amount of Sagar University soon. Mr. Pokhriyal said that the work of developing Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University will be completed in a phased manner.
