At that last bus stop in the metropolis, as soon as the conductor opened the bus stop door, a rustic old man standing below extended his hand to get on. Taking support with only one hand, he climbed into the bus with staggering steps, because in the other hand was a very beautiful child idol of Lord Ganesha.
In that last bus going to the village, after five-six passengers had boarded, there was no place to even put one's feet. Holding the hand statue while the bus was walking, seeing him trying unsuccessfully to balance, when the conductor vacated his seat and said, 'Dadda, you sit here,' he sat comfortably on that seat, hugging the statue.
Within minutes, that adorable idol of Bal Ganesha became the center of everyone's curiosity and attraction. Spontaneously some pair of hands joined towards that side with reverence.
The conductor stood in front of Dadda taking money from the passengers behind and asked, 'Where will you go Dadda'
While answering, by moving the idol a little here and there, he unsuccessfully tried to get the money out of the dhoti.
Seeing him upset, the conductor said, 'Let it be now. Will give you time to get down.
Once again Dadda sat down assuredly hugging the idol of Ganapati.
The bus had picked up speed now. After cutting everyone's tickets, the conductor stood up with the support of a seat and casually asked him, 'Dadda, there must be a Ganesh idol in your village, isn't it? Why are you taking the idol of Ganesh?
Hearing the question, Dadda said with a smile, 'Yes, nowadays, as soon as the festival comes, shops everywhere get decorated, idols are also found in villages, but not like this. Look how lovely and alive it is.'
Then he started saying seriously, ' Son, there is a story of taking the idol from here. In fact, we husband and wife were deprived of the happiness of children by God. Did all the treatments, tantra-mantras, then accepted it considering it as luck and got busy in business. Fifteen years ago, both of us had come to this city in connection with work. The festival of Ganesh Puja was near, so he went to the market here to buy idols and worship items. Suddenly the wife's eyes fell on just such an idol and her motherhood awoke. Saying 'my child', he hugged that idol. The pain of years flowed out of the eyes, the sculptor also got emotional seeing this and I took a promise from him to give exactly the same idol of the same mold every year. Bus! Since then this cycle has started.
Till two years ago, she also used to come along to take her child Ganesh, but now she is helpless due to knee pain. I am also getting old, even if it is only for ten days, I do not want to take away this happiness from her, so I take my child Ganesha home with great care.
Till now a lot of curiosity had awakened among the people around. Some people peeped from their seats and some started looking at the statue with a smile and folded hands.
Then the woman sitting on the back seat turned her face forward and asked, 'Dad, don't you immerse the idol again?'
With a painful smile, Dadda said, 'Now, after establishing the form of God, he worships according to the rules and regulations, so he immerses himself, but because of this disconnection, in these ten days, his heart seems to have a fountain of affection. , which changes our life. Even now, decorating the door with rangoli, mango archway, she must have been sitting there waiting for the way. On reaching, mustard and chillies give a harsh look. Don't ask, our Bal Ganesh has a small pot, glass, plate, spoon. Not only this, he has also made a bag of colorful small clothes, so I will continue to give him this pleasure as long as possible,' Dadda's throat choked while saying this.
Hearing this someone's eyes became moist and someone's heart was filled with compassion. The bus was moving smoothly and was about to reach Dadda's village, so seeing him standing holding the idol, the person standing nearby said, 'Bring it, give the idol to me'. Taking out the money and giving it to the conductor, Dadda said, 'Take it son, cut one and a half tickets.'
Hearing this, the conductor said with surprise, 'Hey, you have come alone, haven't you, then this one and a half ticket?'
Dadda smiled and said, 'Haven't both come? One me and one this our child Ganesh.
On hearing this, everyone started looking at him with surprise. Removing the confusion of the people, he again said, 'Why are you all confused! The one who aroused everyone's feelings, is it just an idol? The one who is celebrated by God, who is honored by life, is it only soil? Hey, he is more alive than us. We may ask him for everything considering him as God, but he only needs our love and hugs.' Dadda's voice choked with emotion while saying this.
The co-travellers along with the conductor listening mesmerized to his words were diving in this unique ocean of compassion and affection that their village came and the bus stopped with a jolt. After deducting one and a half ticket money, the conductor handed over the remaining money and ticket to them and opened the door with respect.
After getting down, when Dadda extended his hand towards the passenger holding his Bal Ganesha, everybody including the conductor said, 'Look Dadda Sambhal Ke' and Dadda holding that idol in both arms like a small child, started walking on the footpath with fast steps. But got down.
Not words but the feeling of the mind is the best!
