There is a very beautiful mind in the Yajurveda, he says that initiation is attained only through celibacy etc. i.e. one gets admission in theology or any other discipline. Then, from initiation, Dakshina means wealth, prosperity etc. is attained.
To get dakshina here means to give dakshina, Vedas have believed that the deity gives more to what he gives. The deity snatches away whatever he does not give to the donors. Then says Dakshina attains reverence, and reverence leads to truth.
The sequence is, Vrat -> Deeksha -> Dakshina -> Shraddha -> Truth
In the middle is Dakshina, once dixit, moved on the road, and then covet in Dakshina, the road is destroyed. Therefore, the way is paved only by donating Dakshina and characters to scholars, gurus, Acharya. Giving dakshina increases reverence in his guru, Acharya. The Guru, too, gets rid of his other worldly concerns and becomes more zealous for the welfare of the disciple or Yajman and finally gets the truth interviewed.
Now what the Dakshina should be, the scripture clearly states that Dakshina should be as much as possible. Neither should it be less than its power, nor is there any need for more. The social structure of Sanatan Dharma was such that the responsibility of non-reclusive Brahmins, priests, astrologers etc. were on the society. The society nurtured them according to their strength through Dakshina. In return, they nurtured society with their knowledge. But as soon as there was kindness in Yajaman and there was greed in Acharya, this system broke.
This led to the loss that those whose work was to perform rituals as priests, to teach and to teach by becoming a guru, to become people astrologers and to show them the path to life, they had to adopt other occupations to run their home due to not getting proper dakshina from the priests and These disciplines were destroyed. Today everybody sees in a unilateral way that Brahmins do not cure paurohitya, astrologers rob and tell lies; But they do not see the fault of themselves whether they followed the Yajman religion?
Do they give Dakshina to these masters as soon as possible? If you have an identity astrologer, then you want to show them the horoscope for free, committing emotional atrocities from them. It is not seen how many thousand hours he must have done austerities to study to get astrology. They spend 11 hours to understand your horoscope, you want to give the price of 11, 51, or 101 rupees. If there is any worship in the house, then you want to be considered a priest for 101 rupees.
He comes to your house from afar, spending a couple of hours, spending 2 hours worshiping and spending his entire day and in return you want to send him off for 101, 151 rupees. Is this as far as possible? If all the people give only 101 rupees to those priests or astrologers, then by putting 2 hours on each, he will be able to do only the horoscope or worship of 5-6 people? From this, there will be only 15 thousand or more in the month of 500 per day. How will he run his house in this?
And if you will not be able to run peacefully, then how will you pay attention to your knowledge and skills? Then, when he fixes his Dakshina under compulsion, you call him an impostor.
You expect an astrologer not to ask for Dakshina in accordance with the Parashar Smriti, but when the same scripture says to give Dakshina as much power for astrology etc., then do not obey it. Then you give 11 rupees and say that without giving any Dakshina it seems a sin, Panditji keep this. Hey, there is not even a juice of 11 rupees, why do those humiliated astrologers and priests by giving 11 rupees?
Why do one's own heads make sins. Veda has clearly stated, "Indra tramples such miser / miser people like grass from feet." I am not saying that all astrologers are very learned or all priests are very good. But many of them are really good which society discourages.
In such a situation, they are unable to concentrate on their studies. They also have to adopt other avenues to fulfill their worldly needs. Acharya can never be pleased by being dissatisfied. Only with true mind, full faith and satisfaction can their grace be attained. The measures given by him also succeed only.
There is a story in the Puranas, Narada ji asked, who suffers the benefits of Dakshinah Karma? So Lord Narayana replied, "Muné! How can there be benefits in unadulterated karma? Because the ability to deliver benefits is only in the deeds of Dakshina.
karma with no dakshina goes in the belly of the sacrifice, that is, it is destroyed. To have Vedic teachings by the Acharyas, to perform purohitya, etc. is part of the yagya. In Manusmriti, there is a clear command of Maharaja Manu.
"And do virtuous deeds, but do not perform yagya with less money. No yagya should be done by giving less / less Dakshina. By offering less dakshina, sacrificial sacrifices destroy the senses of yagya, fame, heaven, age, fame, subjects and animals. "
Elsewhere it is also said, "Dakshinah yagna destroys Dixit." It is also said in the Vedas, "For the one who does good work, the one who gives the worthy Dakshina, the fire protects the man from all around."
"The miser can never be enlightened; they will always stumble into darkness. Those who dedicate their wealth to the work of yagya, they progress and the perishable person is destroyed."
Therefore, to save Vedic knowledge, do not just blame for protecting Sanatana Dharma. Do not skimp in giving proper donations to the Acharyas, other worthy Sanatani institutions and individuals who use Vedic knowledge for you.
There are many places where you will save money. If you skimp on unnecessary places, wealth will increase, if you skimp in the work of Vedic learning and religion, wealth will decrease. Here it grows only by giving. It has clear instructions from the scriptures.
