Devo Ke Dev Mahadev: who have neither beginning nor end.
Lord Shiva is also called Bholebaba, why is he pleased soon and showers mercy on everyone. Many important things have been told in the scriptures regarding the nature of Shiva. Lord Shiva is completely different from all the deities. All the deities are loaded with heavy ornaments and clothes. See the idols of these Gods in the temples or look at their pictures. Everywhere they are visible in all gold and silver studded ornaments.
But have you ever wondered why Lord Shiva lives without ornaments. Why wear a snake in the name of a garland around his neck, instead of a crown on his head, instead of muslin cloth on the body, why is there a tiger skin and instead of sandalwood paste on the body, why is there ashes?
Religious belief in this regard is that Shiva is considered the lord of death and Shiva wears the ashes left over after the burning of the dead body. In this way, Shiva gives us a message by applying ashes that this body of ours is mortal and one day it will dissolve in the soil like this ashes. Therefore we should not be proud of this mortal body. No matter how beautiful a person is, after death his body will become like ashes. Therefore, we should not boast of any kind.
On the other hand, another story is prevalent when Lord Shiva and Mata Sati were indignant and surrendered themselves to the fire after not getting the invitation for the Yagya. At that time Lord Shiva roamed everywhere from earth to sky carrying the dead body of Mata Sati. Vishnu could not see this condition of Lord Shiva and by touching the dead body of Mother Sati, he turned it into ashes. Seeing the ashes in his hands instead of Sati, Shiva became more upset and later after seeing the ashes, remembering Mother Sati, he applied the ashes on his body.
At the same time, apart from these two, a story is more prevalent.
