Importance of practice: A story of Gurukul

Importance of practice: A story of Gurukul

In ancient times, students used to study while staying in Gurukul. The child was sent to a Gurukul for education.

The children used to take care of the ashram in the Gurukul under the guidance of the Guru. And also used to study.
Varadraj was also sent to Gurukul like everyone else.

There he started mingling with his colleagues in the ashram. But he was very weak in reading.

He could hardly understand any of Guruji's words. For this reason he becomes the cause of derision among all.

All his mates went to the next class but he could not move forward.

Guruji ji finally gave up and said to him, “Son of Varadraj! I have tried everything.

Now it would be appropriate that you do not waste your time here.

Go to your home and help the family members in the work.

Varadraj also thought that maybe Vidya is not in my destiny. And left Gurukul for home with a heavy heart.

It was the afternoon time On the way he started feeling thirsty.

Looking here and there, he found that some women were filling water from the well at a short distance. He went to the well.

There were marks made on the stones due to the coming and going of the rope, so he asked the women, "How did you make this mark."
So a woman replied, “Son, we did not make this mark. Due to the repeated coming and going of this soft rope while drawing water, such marks have also been made on the solid stone.
Varadraj got thinking.

He thought that when repeated movements of a soft rope can make deep marks on a solid stone, then why can't I learn by continuous practice.

Varadraj came back to Gurukul with lot of enthusiasm and worked tirelessly.

Guruji was also happy and cooperated a lot.
After a few years, this retarded child Varadraj later became a great scholar of Sanskrit grammar. Who composed Laghusiddhantkaumudi, Madhyasiddhantkaumudi, Sarasiddhantkaumudi, Girvanpadmanjari.

Education (Moral):
Friends, what can we say about the power of practice. It will fulfill all your dreams. Practice is very important whether it is in sports or in studies or in anything else. Without practice you cannot be successful.
If you just rely on luck without practice, then you will end up with nothing but regret. Therefore, by keeping patience, hard work and dedication with practice, you should get ready to achieve your destination.
