Governor Shri Lalji Tandon said in the 'Atal Smriti Lecture' at the Eighth Foundation Day program of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University held at Raj Bhavan today that this university will bring international fame to Indian philosophy and culture. He referred to the personality and gratitude of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Bharat Ratna of Hindi, and said that it was his personality to walk the life path with equanimity. He followed Rajdharma with philosophical seriousness. His compilation of 4 decades of speech does not find a single inappropriate word for the harshest critic. Atalji had a seriousness of contemplation, so his humor was also contained in his personality.
Atal ji was Ajatashatru of politics: Union Minister Mr. Pokhriyal
The Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal said that Atalji was an Ajatashatru of politics. The whole world was absorbed in his thinking. He used to say that the path of happiness and peace of the world originates from India. That is why it is necessary for India to be strong. Shri Pokhriyal said that Hindi is the soul and self-respect of India. Atalji has the credit for bringing his pride to the whole world. He said that the eagerness of the whole world is moving towards adopting Hindi. Hindi is now taught in 450 countries of the world. The Union Minister assured that the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University will be given an international look.
Atal ji was also liberal towards opposing ideologies: Minister Shri Patwari
Higher Education Minister Shri Jeetu Patwari said that generosity towards anti-ideologies was also the hallmark of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee's wonderful personality. He used to say big things in few words. Shri Patwari said that Atalji's words, "I will not give up, I will not take shelter" was the direction of his life-path.
The land of Bharat Yoga in Atalji's thoughts
The keynote speaker of the Atal Smriti Lecture, Mr. Kapil Kapoor said that Atalji did not consider India as just a piece of land, it was a center of reverence for him. In Atalji's thoughts, India is a land of yoga and its civilization is based on knowledge-tradition.
